The Chairs and Academic Administrators Management Program (CAAMP) is a practical, hands-on, interactive experience that develops the core competencies required for effectively managing an academic department or academic program. Often, administrative executives experience a need to improve their overall management and leadership skills as a prerequisite for continued success and promotion. CAAMP includes many opportunities to achieve insights into your leadership and interpersonal styles, so you can grow professionally and personally.
CAAMP is a 3-day program devoted to teaching you the leadership and management skills needed for every administrative level, from department chair to dean. You will receive assessments that provide insights about your personality, behaviors, prevalent leadership style, and your preferred method for dealing with conflict. In addition, you will receive one-on-one career coaching with a CAAMP instructor. During the program, you will create a career action plan to expand and augment your strengths and set achievable goals for advancement. Through group discussions, case studies, role-playing, interactive exercises, and presentations you will learn to excel at the following:

Participants or their institutions are responsible for lodging and transportation expenses. AAL will release information on the location and negotiated special rates for hotel accommodations once finalized.
Discounts are available for institutions that send three or more individuals to CAAMP.

Academy for Academic Leadership (AAL) partners with the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), and Mercer University College of Pharmacy to help professionals achieve their goals as leaders, educators, and agents of change for their organizations.
AAL recognizes the achievement of CAAMP scholars by awarding a certificate of completion. In addition, CAAMP includes continuing education credit through the American Dental Association CERP, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, and the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).
The American Dental Education Association is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.
ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. This continuing education activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) through joint efforts between ADEA and AAL.
The American Dental Education Association designates this activity for up to 25 continuing education credits.

Mercer University College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
